Easter Greetings

Made this card before our trip to see my son and his girlfriend and her family and join them for Easter dinner.  Love those Tim Holtz stamps!  This egg is part of the Blueprint stamp series.  It's one huge egg!  Entering in the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger, Pastel Pretties, since it is pastel and it's pretty.

 Have a great day!

I hope you can leave a comment, and your blog information so I can visit back.  Always happy to have new followers, and I am planning on featuring my next three followers on my blog to celebrate 100 followers.

Chevron Hearts

When I saw the CASual Friday challenge "No Stamps" ,  I knew I wanted to play along, but I didn't realize how challenging it would be for me.  I  use stamps on all of my cards, and rarely use stickers or chipboard.  I tried out several designs and realized I was over thinking it.  These Heidi Swap hearts were perfect for this.  They had lovely French script on them, and I decided to color them with distress ink.  I was quite suprised when the chevrons showed up under the ink.

Love them!  I am also entering in the Moxie Fab Chevron Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.  I so appreciate all of your comments.  Hope you will consider following me if you aren't already.  I'm trying to reach 100 followers!

Tags and WOYWW

I finished off some tags today for a swap that I take part in with a Stampers Anonymous Group.  We were trying out a Tie Dye Technique, so I folded a paper towel several times and applied a spray of water, and then some Dylusion sprays.  After the color went through all the layers, I opened up the towel,  put my tag on it and rolled a brayer over it.  The towel looked great, but the colors were not as vibrant on the tags.  I'll be featuring the tags in more detail later in another post.  This project was a flashback to my teenage years!   When tie dye first became popular we tie dyed lots of t-shirts and other fabric to make all kinds of projects.  Feeling groovy!

Elegant Emerald Butterfly

I couldn't wait to try out my new Tim Holtz Blueprint stamps.  I used the butterfly blueprint, and this photo from the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger- Elegant Emerald.
I was fascinated by the butterfly on her face, and thought the ruffles around her neck and face looked like butterfly wings.  I used several shades of my Twinkling H2O's in emerald green to paint the butterfly in, then cut it out and popped it over the blueprint.

This set also has some fun Easter graphics and a bird's nest, I'll be posting those soon.  Simon Says Stamp and Show is also looking for projects that you have used water on, so this fits right in.
Thanks for stopping by!  I love your comments!

Follow Your Star!

This fun little card is made with Unity Stamps.  I thought the background needed something, so I gave it a spray of Smooch ink.  Now it looks like the Milky Way.  The thing about those spray inks is that you never can really predict how they will come out!    This is for the Extraterrestrial Challenge over at CASology, and also A Blog Named Hero-Freestyle where you can do any style with any products, and Unity Friends with Flair.

Easter Wishes

The challenge over at Less is More this week is to make a 1 layer card with spots and stripes.   This stamp with the Easter Bunny was sitting out on my table, since I had just been using it, and I knew it would be perfect for this.  Look at those eggs!  Spots and stripes galore.

Pink Party

I love the image of this little girl skipping through the grass with her tulips and Easter eggs.  I thought it was perfect for the "Pink Party" over at the Shabby Tea Room.  Here's the inspiration photo.

Wouldn't you love to have a party set up like that?  She looks like she is on her way over to join in the fun.  I went with a little brighter pinks, and brought in the colors in the photo with the patterned paper on the card base, the doily and the scallop trim. I thought that the bow with the flower was a perfect finishing touch.
I am also linking up with Cupcake Inspirations, I chose this photo- Challenge #154, since my card is Easter themed.

H is for Home

This fun little tag is for this weeks Tag Tuesday post for the letter H.  I used a cute Unity set and lots of patterned paper.  The sun is a fabric flower shape that I sprayed with yellow ink and added on a bright button.  My son and his girlfriend have started house hunting, and I am hoping they find a home that is just right for them soon.

I am linking up to Unity Friends with Flair, and The Artistic Stamper, where they are looking for tags.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you will leave a comment and consider following me if you are not already- I'm trying to reach 100 followers, and I am getting close!
